Kyle’s European Adventure

Mishaps and sordid tales.

Friday the 13th

June 14th, 2008 · No Comments

Rise and shine! No, nothing too crazy happened on today, the 13th. Just more relaxing fun.

Josh took us around Williamsburg this morning – showing us his favorite bakery and coffee shop. The coffee joint was famous for their iced coffee, and it took me a few sips to figure out why. The coffee is iced with shaved ice, and I realized that the ice they use is frozen coffee. Crafty.

With Garanzini, the Middle From there, Alapaki and I made our way into the City, where we met up with Alapkai’s husband’s younger brother, Paul. (Got that?) We went and saw ground zero, which looks remarkably like any other construction site in New York, now. From there, we made our way to Central Park, where I demonstrated my total ninja skillz at finding bathrooms.

We left Paul and his friends to meet my Jason, who had left work early and had a hankering for margaritas. We drank a whole pitcher of them, sitting in the sun and dishing celebrity gossip.

Birthday Boy After a quick trip back to Brooklyn to change into our eveningwear, we made it back to the city to meet up with my friend Mike, and head to Barracuda, my favorite bar in NYC. Jason was there, and introduced us to all the hot bartenders. We spent an hour there, laughing, drinking, and telling embarrassing stories about Kyle.

Afterwards, we had planned to go to another bar, but instead embraced our inner fat girls, and went to get food. On our way to the restaurant, we realized that midnight had passed, and Alapaki was officially a year older. From there, we got grub, and then headed home.

Birthday Present Once we were safely back in Brooklyn, I gave Alapaki his birthday present, which he loved.

Nighty night!
